Ms. Poop-a-Lot or Not!

Day one through five wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

Despite everyone I knew who've done the cleanse said the shake tastes really good, but I didn't like it at first.  Figured out that it tastes waaaaaay better with lots of ice.  It was quite delicious actually.  I started on a Saturday so that I'd be home...just in case.  Usually on cleanses there tends to be poop emergencies, especially during the first few days.

Now you're allowed "flex foods" & "flex beverages" on this cleanse three times a day.  That list consists of avocados, celery, apples, spinach, almond milk, hibiscus tea and kombucha just to mention a few.  And we stocked up on all of them.

However, since I have a lot of weight to lose and the prospect of becoming Ms. Poop-a-Lot wasn't appealing at all, I decided against ANY foods.  Whether that was a smart move or not, I don't know. The first couple days wasn't bad, but on the 4th day I felt the urge to chew on something, so I indulged with an apple and a couple celery stalks.

Turns out there wasn't any urgency in the poop department or even the slightest inkling that I would need to stay close to the bathroom.  Absolutely nothing and I'm glad to report no Ms. Poop-a-Lot for this girl.  That made me feel more confident.

Another thing happened that was totally unexpected..my energy level went from negative to through the roof.  I did expect my energy level to raise while doing this cleanse but the unexpected thing was how much it raised and how quickly it happened.  It was virtually instantaneous.  Never thought it was possible.

Total weight lost to date:  8 pounds

Side view on my 5th day of the Transformation Cleanse.  There was a definitely change in my stomach.

I noticed another change in the size of my butt.  Although it doesn't look like it this shirt fits.  I could barely get it on before, especially at the arms, where I tend to store fat.

Most importantly I am feeling AWESOME!!  Five more days to go.

Pre-Cleanse Shme-Cleanse

I did the pre-cleanse for 2 days as best I could.  Instructions were no meat, no processed foods, no dairy and no sugar.  Drink more water than usual.  Basically I was left wondering what could I really eat, because those things I was to avoid was all I had in my home.

That's when it really hit me!  Our primary diet is mostly processed.

The Hubs still shops for groceries like he did when he was single. (He is the primary shopper) Convenient processed foods that can keep for long periods of time.  Can goods, boxed meal mixes - you know the kind.  And he likes to buy in bulk so he won't have to shop as often.  He hated when I required fresh produce - fruits and vegetables or nuts and stuff.  It literally irked him.  He thought it was a waste because they go bad too quickly so you can't buy too much at one time, sending him to the store more often.  Forget about asking him to buy organically or at the Farmers Market.  NO WAY!  NOT HAPPENING!

Prior to my husband, being from Hawaii, my diet consisted of more fresh fruits and vegetables, where a lot of my food grew in our back yards.  Fresh fish, seaweed and other sea animals & plants all the time.  That was staple in an island girls way of life.  I have family that raise livestock, so we had fresh meat.  We had chickens so we got fresh eggs everyday.  There were more from scratch home cooked meals, rarely anything from a box.  Then I moved to the mainland with my husband and it all changed.

Over the years I just got used to my husbands way.  Paying for it with my health.  A very expensive price to pay.

That's why I was so happy that he agreed to the Purium program.  Its a good thing for us both.

So my diet for 2 days consisted of PB&J on whole wheat.  Hey, I said I tried my best.  Besides I didn't want the bread to go to waste.  My PB was all natural and you can't have PB without the J. :)

Here is where I started:

Age : 44
Height  5'8"
Weight:  278.2
Arms:     18" each
Chest:     45" upper
               41 1/4" under
50" middle / across the nipple
Waist:     46 1/2"
Hips:       54"
Thigh:     30" upper

When my husband took these pictures I could not believe it.  My stomach was so large and my back is so wide.  Didn't realize it through the years.  Guess I had goggles on the whole time.

Can't wait to start the cleanse and a new chapter in my life.

Aloha Y`all!

Ring My Bell!

On Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at 11:45 a.m.  That's when the doorbell woke me and I knew life was never going to be the same.

The Purium Platinum Transformation Cleanse for Two ARRIVED via FedEx!  I was so excited beyond belief.  Excited of what will be, for the possibilities this will mean, for a more healthier future.

I can't wait to be free of the sugar and carb addiction.  The main thing I wanted to achieve and heard from the testimonials is more ENERGY!  I was so lethargic all the time.  So much hope is wrapped up in this program for me.  Expectations too high?  Not from what I've witnessed from friends and family members who are on it or have done it.

So we are gonna rock this!!

There were some apprehension at first about cleanses.  Like would I turn into Miss Poop-A-Lot.  I wasn't going to come this far to let a little of that stop me anyway.  So I put my big girl panties on and got ready for the ride.  Come what may!!

NOTE:  All postings are delayed.  Many people encouraged me to document and share my journey with everyone.  Since I kept a journal I didn't think twice and started this Blog.  My 10-Day Cleanse did not start for another 10 days due to a very strong series of antibiotics I was taking.  I did not want to start until I was done.  Forgive me if it seems confusing, but it is not my intention to mislead in any  one in any way.  This is just my story and I wanted to share.

Aloha Y'all!

How We Met

The very first time I ever heard of Purium was when my daughter told me she wanted to "go on it".  She wanted to shed some pounds and cleanse her system.  The skeptic and protective mother that I am told her to just stop eating & drinking so much.  Its free!  She insisted.

So - what do I do?  Research til the cows come home.  To my surprise I couldn't find any reason for her NOT to 'go on it'.  The products were green, organic and clean.  Made in the USA, down the road from me to be exact.  And the owner creator is very respected in the Health and Wellness industry.  But the real peoples testimonials sold me.  I told my daughter about my findings and gave her my support during her cleanse.

She had such great results, I thought maybe I'd like to try it.

Roadblock!!  I didn't have the resources.  I had just lost my place to work and it was a bit tight in the wallet at the time.  So life went on as usual.  Eating whatever I wanted.  Not exercising, in fact since I wasn't working as much, I became more sedentary - sitting in front of my computer for hours on end.

A very good friend of mine and his wife started on the program and had such wonderful results.  They were melting right in front of me..literally.  They're both massage clients of mine so I could see first hand how the pounds were just falling off.  Plus their skin was so clear.  Even more so I wanted to do it.  Still resources were tight.  But I was saving to eventually get on it.

Fast forward a few months. My same friends are having a gathering at their home to promote Purium Health Products but invited us to come over AFTER the presentation for lunch and a swim in their pool to cool off from the near 100 degree weather we were having.  (They didn't invite us for the presentation because they knew that money was tight for me.)

We showed up at their home while the presentation was wrapping up.  My husband started talking to the Presenter whom he knew from work coincidentally.  Small world!  It didn't take very much for my husband and he asked if I wanted to go it.  He would buy it for us.

I gave him this look of OMG! with a little OF COURSE! and peppered with I LOVE YOU FOREVER if you get this program right now.

And that is how I met Purium.  It was love from that moment on.

Whats This All About?

Thank you for visiting!  Welcome to my site where I will share with you my journey to healthy with Purium Health Products.  It is my hope that it will encourage some to also start their own journey to a more healthy, vibrant life.  Or to at least be as entertaining as possible.

Aloha!  My name is Amber...I'm 44.  Woman,  Mother, wife, daughter, friend and the list can go on and on.  Woman said it all!  I am all that that comes with and then some.  I am of Hawaiian ancestry and was born and raised on O`ahu.  Very proud to be of and from Hawaii.  That is home and the heart is certainly there always.

Like many woman around my age, we start feeling and noticing the effects of those years in our bodies.  I don't know about you but I can do without all the creeks and cracks in my bones.  The eye site goes - heck even my hearing has gotten worse.  This can't be what the rest of life is going to be like.  More deterioration of our once vital bodies!  I refuse to do it.  REFUSE.

Now I've got to mention that I haven't been all the concerned about my health up to this point.  I ate whatever & whenever I wanted, didn't exercise much and had bad sleeping habits.  If that's you - raise your hand!

Hi I'm Amber and I abused & neglected my health for years!  Nice to meet you all.  ENJOY your stay.
